Learning the ASL Alphabet Together

Fingerspelling is a great family project. Learn a few letters a day with games that make it stick.

The ASL alphabet lets you spell names and words that don't have their own sign. It's also a fun, hands-on way to practice letters.

Three letters a day

Learning all 26 at once is overwhelming. Pick three letters a day, starting with the ones in your child's name.

Games to practice

  • Name spelling: spell family members' names and guess who it is.
  • Letter hunt: find something in the house that starts with the letter you sign.
