Building a Bedtime Routine That Actually Sticks

Same steps, same order, every night. A predictable routine helps little bodies know it's time to wind down.

Kids thrive on knowing what comes next. A bedtime routine works less because of what's in it and more because it happens the same way each night.

Pick three or four steps

  1. Bath or washing up
  2. Pajamas and teeth
  3. One or two books
  4. Lights out with a short song or cuddle

Start earlier than you think

Begin the routine 30–45 minutes before you want them asleep. Rushing is what usually makes bedtime fall apart.
